GARDEN CITY, Idaho — An Idaho man is facing a first-degree murder charge in the fatal beating of his fiancée’s 2-year-old son.
According to KTVB and the Idaho Statesman, police arrested Aaron Jacoby Williams, 31, of Garden City, on Monday night, hours after the unconscious toddler was taken to an area clinic. The boy, who also wasn’t breathing, was pronounced dead at a Boise hospital, the news outlets reported.
Officials later determined that the child had suffered internal trauma, a head injury and rib fractures, according to KTVB.
Investigators said Williams had been watching the child at an East 44th Street home when the toddler was hurt, the news outlets reported. Williams told authorities that he had become impatient with the child and acted violently toward him, KTVB reported.
Williams remains jailed without bond, according to KTVB.
