Amy S. Gale, 19, of Belleville, was charged with one felony count of aggravated battery with a firearm and three felony counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm in connection with the Dec. 16 incident, according to a news release from the Belleville Police Department.

According to the Belleville Police Department, Gale entered the drive-thru at the Taco Bell and got into an argument with an employee at the window about her order, KMOV-TV reported. Police said Gale was unhappy with her order.

Moments later, Gale allegedly shot at the window before driving around to the front of the restaurant and firing more shots, the television station reported.

Police officers who responded to the shooting found the Taco Bell employees hiding in the kitchen area, the Belleville News-Democrat reported. Officers tracked down Gale’s vehicle at a residence and arrested her, the newspaper reported.

“We are saddened to hear that this happened and we’re grateful that no team members or guests were harmed,” a spokesperson for Taco Bell told the News-Democrat in a statement. “We understand that our franchisee who owns and operates this location is working with the local authorities in their investigation and has offered counseling services to all team members present.”

Gale was being held in the St. Clair County Jail, according to online county records.
