The Jaguars 2014 schedule was released Wednesday night headlined by a second trip to London in as many years and a nationally-televised home game that will not only showcase the team but the new stadium upgrades to EverBank Field.
Jacksonville will head over seas for a showdown with the Dallas Cowboys in London on November 9th. This will be the second of four games the Jaguars agreed to play in London between 2013 and 2016.
The Jags lone appearance on a national stage will come December 18th against the AFC South rival Tennessee Titans on Thursday Night Football. This will mark the first chance during the regular season for the national audience to see the new upgrades made to EverBank Field that will include a pair of swimming pools in the north endzone and the biggest scoreboards in the world.
The team will open this season with back-to-back road games. In fact, four of the team's first six contests will be played away from the friendly confines of EverBank Field. The Jaguars open the season in Philadelphia to take on the Eagles, Sept 7th, followed by a trip to the nation's capital to play the Washington Redskins, September 14th.
The home opener comes September 21st against the division rival Indianapolis Colts, before going back on the road for a west-coast clash with the San Diego Chargers, September 28th. Then it is back to Jacksonville for the Steelers, October 5th.
The rest of the division scheduled features the Jaguars going to Tennessee October 12th and to Indianapolis November 23rd before playing the Houston Texans twice in the final four weeks of the season, hosting Houston December 7th, and closing the regular season out at Houston December 28th.
The 2014 schedule features every team the Jaguars defeated in 2013. Those teams include the Texans, who the Jags beat twice, the Titans and Browns who the Jaguars will host October 19th at EverBank Field.
The Jaguars drew a Week 11 bye, which follows their trip to London.
