Remember the video of those Clay County girls burning and killing a gopher tortoise?
The older suspect, Jennifer Greene, has been ruled incompetent to stand trial for the second time in six months, according to the Times Union.
Greene was charged with cruelty to animals after video of her and a younger girl showed the tortoise being set on fire, then stomped to death.
A judge will review her competency again in March.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission was alerted about the video July 15, 2014 and began investigating. Along with the State Attorney's Office and Clay County Sheriff's Office, they determined to file felony and misdemeanor charges against the teens in the video.
The arrest report obtained by WOKV says the tortoise’s body was found in the front yard of one of the teens. The tortoise is a protected species.
