A former Wendy's employee was sentenced to death Friday after he was convicted in the 2009 shooting of a coworker.
A judge upheld a jury's recommendation to send Thomas Brown to death row for killing fellow employee Juanese Miller.
Witnesses say Miller and Brown did not get along, and even fought publically at times. Brown says Miller would pick on him, and nothing was done when he brought the issue up to management.
One day, after an argument with a manager, Brown went home, got a gun, came back, and shot Miller four times in the back.
Defense attorneys claimed that Brown suffered from mental instability, and should not be subject to the death penalty. Brown's mother says he has paranoid schizophrenia, and has battle mental health issues his entire life.
