MISSING, ENDANGERED: 76-year-old woman last seen on Jacksonville’s Westside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday that officers are searching for Maria Agustina Martinez-Masso, a 76-year-old woman who is showing early signs of dementia and is believed to be endangered. She left her home on Radnor Lane in Jacksonville’s Crystal Springs area some time between 6 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday and has not returned.

Martinez-Masso is described as a Hispanic female that is 5′3′'and weighs 150 pounds. She has brown eyes and salt and pepper hair.

Thursday, Aug. 26 Update:

Officers are asking community members in the area of Chaffee Road, Crystal Springs Road and Pritchard Road to review any surveillance video they may have available on Tuesday, Aug. 24, specifically between the timeframe of 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. for any possible sightings of the missing woman. Police said she was last seen wearing a yellow top. Police stress their concern for her safety because of how long she has been missing.

Wednesday, Aug. 25 Update:

In an update early Wednesday morning, police said she was last seen Tuesday in the area of Chaffee Road and Crystal Springs at approximately 2 p.m. Officers said she is wearing a brown dress or possible long skirt and carrying a handbag. The color of the handbag is unknown.

JSO later said Wednesday that it has also received tips that she was last seen Tuesday around 3 p.m. in the Chaffee Road and West Beaver Street area.

JFRD tweeted a photo of what Martinez-Masso was last seen wearing and the top she was wearing was yellow.
