Jacksonville, FL — A Jacksonville man has now been arrested for a shooting at the Red Roof Inn on Atlantic Boulevard earlier this month.
Neptune Beach Police say 22-year-old Darius Mangram is the boyfriend of the victim’s sister. The two men had a verbal argument about a vehicle purchase, when Mangram shot the victim multiple times, according to witness statements.
The shooting took place on October 4th, and Mangram was arrested on unrelated weapons and burglary charges on October 6th. Now, Neptune Beach Police have formally added a charge of attempted murder.
The victim is still in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
