A Former Jacksonville Port Authority top executive could spend up to 12 years behind bars, charged with corruption.
Tony Nelson, former JPA Vice Chairman is facing up to a decade or more in a prison cell, after a jury ruled in May last year that Nelson accepted over $150 thousand dollars in bribes from a dredging company based out in Orlando that worked at the Dames Point container terminal.
Along with prison time, he is also facing $125 thousand or more in fines.
Nelson's sentencing began Wednesday, and he's expected to have final word later on this week.
