Full SWAT callout on Southside after man shot at mobile home park

UPDATE: The SWAT callout is affecting dismissal for students who live in the Countryside Village Trailer Park, and attend R.L. Brown Elementary, Windy Hill Elementary, Twin Lakes Middle, Englewood High or Sandalwood High. Duval County Public Schools will use Windy Hill Elementary as a central hub for dismissal.

--------

SWAT has been fully mobilized on the Southside after someone was shot at a mobile home.

The call for help came in around 9:20 a.m. Monday at the Countryside Village on the corner of Beach Boulevard and DeSalvo Road.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Lieutenant Melissa Bujeda says one person apparently shot one of his family members and the person who was shot managed to get out of the home before police arrived.

That person was taken to the hospital for treatment and has since been released.

According to Bujeda, it's unclear at this point where the suspect - who is not being identified at this time - actually is. JSO is assuming he's still in the home because that's what the person who called for help said, but Bujeda says it's possible he may have left before officers arrived.

Police believe the suspect also has at least 2 guns on him.

As of right now, JSO has evacuated the immediate area around the mobile home and is preventing vehicles and people from getting past the mobile home park entrance.

We'll have more details as they come in.
