A woman died Sunday after she hit her head while riding a jet ski, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission confirmed to Action News Jax.
The incident happened near the J. Turner Butler Boulevard bridge, formally known as the Arthur N. Sollee Bridge, over the Intracoastal Waterway.
FWC said a family of three were riding two jet skis. The woman was riding on the back of one of the jet skis when she hit her head on the bridge as they drove by and died of her injuries.
FWC said it is still investigating the incident.
