Jacksonville — FHP is investigating a head-on crash on US 17 near Town Center Boulevard on Fleming island, and all southbound lanes were closed for hours Thursday morning.
Troopers tell us two trucks were involved last night just after 11 o'clock. Three people were seriously injured. Two were listed in critical condition.
It's not clear yet if charges will be filed, but FHP said the driver of a pickup truck lost control and crossed over into the opposite lanes. That driver was among the 3 people injured. This is a developing story and will be updated as we learn more.
