A Jacksonville man may be tied to armed robberies of automotive stores in Clay and St. Johns counties this week, according to law enforcement.
Rickey Barker Jr., 35, is believed to have robbed an Advance Discount Auto Parts store in Clay County on Sunday, while St. Johns deputies are investigating whether he was involved in the armed robbery of an Advance Discount Auto Parts store off U.S. 1 South on Tuesday.
“Right now we can’t say for sure it is the same person, but there’s a good indication it is him,” Clay County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Jim Morgan said.
Barker is being held on no bond and will appear in Clay County court Thursday morning.
