JSO: Man tried to get child in his car near school

Police are looking for a man who asked a child to get in his car Tuesday morning.

JSO tells us that they were dispatched to Cedar Hills Elementary and say the suspect asked the girl to get in his white car. It wasn’t until later in the day that the child informed her teacher.

The description of the suspect from the child is of an older white man with a gray beard, lazy right eye, red flower tattoo on his right upper arm and who was balding.

The vehicle is thought to be a white four-door car with a dent on the passenger side near the gas tank.

He asked the child if she wanted a ride, to which she replied “no.” The man kept telling her to “get in the car” before the child ran away to a larger group of kids.
