Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is asking for any information about an attempted kidnapping suspect, who allegedly approached a teenager in Mandarin.

According to police, the man approached the teen at the intersection of Greenland Road and Old St. Augustine on October 31, as the teen was walking home from school.

Police say he asked the victim if he wanted drugs, offering everything from weed to meth, but when the teen refused, he grabbed his wrist and tried to forcibly pull him into the car.

Thankfully, the victim was able to break away and go to a nearby Walgreens, where called his mom and 911.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, 5’8” tall, between 50 and 60-years-old, with slicked back salt and pepper hair. He's also said to be very tan with a tattoo of a cross of his left wrist with a snake around it.

Police describe his vehicle as a blue, four-door Nissan Altima, with a dent above the gas tank.
