Jacksonville FL — Beginning Tuesday morning, the Division of Emergency Management for Florida says the coronavirus vaccination site at the Gateway Mall will only be administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. They say they will have up to 3,000 doses a day at the site and as a result, first doses of the Pfizer vaccine are done. If you received your first dose of Pfizer at the site, you will be able to return to the same location for your second dose.
Previously we were told by the state that they would be able to administer up to 3,000 first doses a day of the Pfizer vaccine through May 4th. At that time the state did say that date could change.
If you are still looking to get your first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, then there are several locations in Jacksonville offering it. The Regency Square Mall, the Legends Center, and Celebration Church all are offering first doses of Pfizer according to the Division of Emergency Management’s website.
💉VACCINE UPDATE: Beginning April 6, the federally-supported vaccination sites in Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville & Miami will only offer the one dose J & J vaccine. Each site will be able to administer up to 3,000 per day.
