Jacksonville, FL — With many people planning to celebrate Independence Day out on the water, be sure not to leave any valuables out in the open on dry land.

That's as we've learned the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a recent burglary at the Mandarin Holiday Marina on Julington Creek.

According to the police report we've obtained, police say several thousand dollars' worth of tools were taken from the marina's shed. The report says several people parked in the area also reported their cars had been burglarized, with tools again seeming to be the target.

Investigators say a surveillance camera did catch a possible suspect on video. The suspect is described as a white man, who was wearing white shorts and a white and black hoodie. Police say he was spotted driving a white pick-up truck.

The report adds that the suspect tried to put diesel into his truck from the dock pumps before leaving, but was unsuccessful.

WOKV is working to learn if this suspect has been identified and/or arrested.
