30% voter turnout reported in Atlantic Beach primary

Jacksonville, FL — With 3,188 ballots cast, the Duval County Supervisor of Elections has released the unofficial results of the 2017 Atlantic Beach primary.

With 4/4 precincts reporting, Ellen Glasser has defeated incumbent Mitch Reeves for mayor. The results posted on the Duval County Supervisor of Elections website HERE, show her with 54% of the votes, while Reeves had 42.7%.

As for the other two seats up for grabs, Commissioner Seat 4 was an extremely tight race, with Jimmy Hill and Candace Kelly separated by only 34 votes. Kelly getting 50.56% of the vote, Hill getting 49.44%.

As for Commissioner Seat 5, Brittany Norris came out on top, getting 54% of the vote. Mitch Harding, meanwhile, had 45.7%.

The Duval County Supervisor of Elections says voter turnout was 30.8%.
