Therapy dog stolen from Nevada children’s charity

LAS VEGAS — A Newfoundland who works as a therapy dog at a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children was stolen from his handler’s backyard.

Someone opened a gate sometime between 2 a.m. and 9 a.m. Sunday at the home of the CEO of the Nevada Blind Children's Foundation and stole two dogs, KLAS reported.

The dogs were found later Sunday afternoon by a good Samaritan.

One of the dogs, Buddy, is a 9-year-old Newfoundland who works as a certified therapy dog at the nonprofit.

The other dog, Charli, is a shy 8-year-old female chocolate Labrador.
