Isaias is forecast to become a strong hurricane as it approaches the Gulf Coast on Friday and proceeds into the Florida Panhandle over the weekend. Gov. Ron DeSantis issued a state of emergency for 25 Florida counties including Baker, Columbia.
The storm could reach hurricane strength by Thursday as it churns through the Gulf.
